About

The struggle is real!

We've worked where you work: Web-development agencies, software delivery shops, in-house technical teams. Anywhere where there are people wanting to properly deliver and manage dozens of other people's digital real estate.

But what do we mean by "properly"? One-size doesn't necessarily fit all from one agency to the next.

We observed delivery teams producing exceptional work on time and (mostly) on budget. But once delivered into production environments, things began to unravel to the detriment of the customer and ultimately the agency itself:

  • Delivery leads moved-on to other delivery projects.
  • Engineering squads broke-up for new delivery projects.
  • Handovers and documentation rarely occurred.
  • Project managers blindsided when responding to inevitable incidents.

The business risk to websites and applications hosted on what is inarguably the most hostile environment on Earth - the internet - has always been present and worsens with every year that passes.

Agencies have several solutions available to them to protect themselves, their reputations and those of their customers, but all lack a focus on what is arguably the most important role in any delivery or support team - the project manager.

Our goal

We set ourselves a lofty goal: To design a tool which surfaces all of an agency's maintenance information and presents it so any team member - not just engineers and security - can use it.

Metaport ultimately democratises maintenance planning, by breaking down traditional engineering, security, and operations siloes which exist in digital teams.
